Metastable Polymers for Circular 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D‐printed polymers are usually permanent and hard to recycle. Here, metastable polymers are designed to fall apart on demand. A chemical trigger unzips the printed material back into its original building blocks within minutes at room temperature.

EFFECT OF MIXED OXIDES AS ACID CATALYSTS IN PHOSPHINE OXIDE EPOXYBASED COVALENT ADAPTABLE NETWORKS [PDF]

open access: yes
Epoxy resins (ERs) are highly flammable, and their recycling is full of hurdles. To overcome this issue, recyclable and inherently flame retardant (FR) epoxy-based covalent adaptable networks (CANs) represent a promising solution.

Coded Interlocked Covalent Adaptable Networks Enabled by Parallel Connections of Cation−π Interactions and Aromatic Disulfide Bonds in Epoxy

open access: yes
Covalent adaptable networks (CANs) that are cross-linked by reversible dynamic bonds have been widely investigated, aiming at making the permanently cross-linked thermosets degradable and recyclable from the awareness of economic and environmental ...

Electropolymerized Aptasensor for Femtogram‐Level Cytokine Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electropolymerization of 3‐amino‐ʟ‐tyrosine creates ultrathin, smooth, and chemically robust pALT nanofilms with accessible carboxyl functionalities for direct aptamer immobilization. Integrated with fiber‐optic SPR and OECT platforms, these interfaces enable IL‐6 detection down to 100 fg mL−1 and provide a versatile route to bioelectronic sensing ...

All‐Amyloid Functional Coacervates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces an all‐amyloid interfacial complex coacervate technique that employs charge‐mediated or functionalization‐assisted complexation of oppositely charged food protein‐derived amyloid nanofibrils to engineer functional soft constructs across multiple length scales.

2D Abrupt Nano‐Junctions Blending sp–sp2 Bonds on Atomically Precise Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A lateral heterostructure between atomically precise sp–sp2$^2$ metalated graphdiyne and sp2$^2$ graphene nanoribbons is realized by on‐surface synthesis and investigated by STM and DFT. The impact of on‐surface synthesis byproducts on covalent junction formation yield is unveiled.

Enhanced Mechanical Recycling of Polymer Mixtures by a Trifunctional Dynamic Crosslinker

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐catalyzed, trifunctional dynamic crosslinker that incorporates three desired properties into one system and is compatible with reactive extrusion can compatibilize waste plastic mixtures containing high Tm polymers and impart the recycled mixtures with superior thermoset properties such as enhanced creep resistance and thermomechanical stability

Esterified Cholesterol Conjugates Enable LNP‐Mediated mRNA Delivery to the Blood–Brain Barrier Following Intravenous Administration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A cholesterol‐conjugated lipid library enabled the identification of a ligand‐free LNP platform for efficient mRNA delivery to brain endothelial cells via systemic administration. This platform achieves selective BBB targeting without disrupting barrier integrity, and enables modulation of neuroinflammation and vascular function without requiring trans‐
