An Advanced Framework for Predictive Maintenance Decisions: Integrating the Proportional Hazards Model and Machine Learning Techniques under CBM Multi-Covariate Scenarios

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Under Condition-Based Maintenance, the Proportional Hazards Model (PHM) uses Cox’s partial regression and vital signs as covariates to estimate risk for predictive management.

Nonparametric identification and estimation of nonclassical errors-in-variables models without additional information [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper considers identification and estimation of a nonparametric regression model with an unobserved discrete covariate. The sample consists of a dependent variable and a set of covariates, one of which is discrete and arbitrarily correlates with ...

Multi‐Omics and ‐Organ Insights into Energy Metabolic Adaptations in Early Sepsis Onset

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that patients at risk of sepsis have a distinct metabolite and lipid signature, including serine and aminoadipic acid, in their serum before clinical diagnosis. A mouse model of sepsis with a compatible serum signature reveals underlying metabolic changes, including mitochondrial adaptation, altered serine‐dependent purine metabolism ...

The Long Noncoding RNA ΒFaar Promotes White Adipose Tissue Browning and Prevents Diet‐Induced Obesity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
βFaar selectively targets and inhibits the GTPase activity of the RAB18 protein, thereby reducing LD volume. Conversely, βFaar promotes nuclear translocation of the transcription factor IRF4 in inguinal white adipose tissue (iWAT), facilitating the browning of white adipose tissue and attenuating body fat accumulation.

Deciphering the Acetabular Labrum's Cellular Atlas: MDK Inhibition as a Novel Therapeutic Method for Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study explores developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) by analyzing acetabular labrum abnormalities using single‐cell and spatial transcriptomics. Aberrant fibrocartilage stem cell proliferation is linked to DDH progression. Targeting the MK signaling pathway with a specific inhibitor effectively alleviates early DDH abnormalities, offering ...
