Coverage Probability Analysis for mmWave Communication Network With ABSF-Based Interference Management by Stochastic Geometry

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Millimeter wave (mmWave) communication technology has been widely discussed as a promising part to be used in 5th Generation (5G) fig: interference networks.

Integral Approximations for Coverage Probability [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2016
This letter gives approximations to an integral appearing in the formula for downlink coverage probability of a typical user in Poisson point process (PPP) based stochastic geometry frameworks of the form $\int_0^\infty \exp\{ - (Ax + B x^{ /2}) \} \ud x$. Four different approximations are studied.

RSS-Based Coverage Deployment Method Under Probability Model in 3D-WSN [PDF]

open access: goldIEEE Access, 2019
Due to the wider application of wireless sensor networks in real life, 3D coverage closer to the actual application environment has become a research hotspot of current sensor networks.

The Improved Value-at-Risk for Heteroscedastic Processes and Their Coverage Probability [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2020
A risk measure commonly used in financial risk management, namely, Value-at-Risk (VaR), is studied. In particular, we find a VaR forecast for heteroscedastic processes such that its (conditional) coverage probability is close to the nominal. To do so, we pay attention to the effect of estimator variability such as asymptotic bias and mean square error.

Controlling Conditional Coverage Probability in Prediction [PDF]

open access: bronzeThe Annals of Statistics, 1992
Suppose the variable $X$ to be predicted and the learning sample $Y_n$ that was observed are independent, with a joint distribution that depends on an unknown parameter $\theta$. A prediction region $D_n$ for $X$ is a random set, depending on $Y_n$, that contains $X$ with prescribed probability $\alpha$.

Multi-Slot Coverage Probability and SINR-Based Handover Rate Analysis for Mobile User in Hetnet

open access: goldIEEE Access, 2018
User mobility brings about the spatial correlation in user association (or handover) over a period of multi slots. The correlation makes the classic user association methodology, i.e., typical user method in stochastic geometry, invalid. In addition, the

Coverage probability bias, objective Bayes and the likelihood principle [PDF]

open access: green, 2001
We review objective Bayes procedures based on both parametric and predictive coverage probability bias and explore the extent to which such procedures contravene the likelihood principle in the case of a scalar parameter.

Coverage of confidence intervals based on conditional probability [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of High Energy Physics, 2000
We consider the Roe-Woodroofe construction of confidence intervals for the case of a Poisson distributed variate, where the mean is the sum of a known background and an unknown non-negative signal. The RW construction is based on a conditional pdf and posseses conditional coverage such that the intervals contain the true value of the signal with ...

Coverage Probability of RIS-Assisted Wireless Communication Systems With Random User Deployment Over Nakagami-$m$ Fading Channel

open access: goldIEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology
In beyond 5G (B5G), the higher directivity and attenuation make millimeter-wave (mmWave) very vulnerable to blockages that degrades the system performance.
