Coverage Probability of 3-D Mobile UAV Networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2019
In this paper, we consider a network of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) where a given number of UAVs are placed at three-dimensional (3D) locations in a finite circular disk shaped region to serve a reference ground user equipment (UE) located at its center.

SNR Coverage Probability Analysis of RIS-Aided Communication Systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2021
The intelligent reflective surface (IRS) technology has received many interests in recent years, thanks to its potential uses in future wireless communications, in which one of the promising use cases is to widen coverage, especially in the line-of-sight-blocked scenarios.

Integral Approximations for Coverage Probability [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2016
This letter gives approximations to an integral appearing in the formula for downlink coverage probability of a typical user in Poisson point process (PPP) based stochastic geometry frameworks of the form $\int_0^\infty \exp\{ - (Ax + B x^{ /2}) \} \ud x$. Four different approximations are studied.

The Improved Value-at-Risk for Heteroscedastic Processes and Their Coverage Probability [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2020
A risk measure commonly used in financial risk management, namely, Value-at-Risk (VaR), is studied. In particular, we find a VaR forecast for heteroscedastic processes such that its (conditional) coverage probability is close to the nominal. To do so, we pay attention to the effect of estimator variability such as asymptotic bias and mean square error.

Coverage Probability of STAR-RIS-Assisted Massive MIMO Systems With Correlation and Phase Errors [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2022
In this letter, we investigate a simultaneous transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) assisting a massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) system.

Coverage Probability of Distributed IRS Systems Under Spatially Correlated Channels [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2021
This letter suggests the use of multiple distributed intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) towards a smarter control of the propagation environment. Notably, we also take into account the inevitable correlated Rayleigh fading in IRS-assisted systems. In

Coverage Probability and Ergodic Capacity of Intelligent Reflecting Surface-Enhanced Communication Systems [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Communications Letters, 2020
This letter studies the performance of a single-input single-output (SISO) system enhanced by the assistance of an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS), which is equipped with a finite number of elements under Rayleigh fading channels.

Coverage Probability Analysis of RIS-Assisted High-Speed Train Communications [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2022
Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) has received increasing attention due to its capability of extending cell coverage by reflecting signals toward receivers. This paper considers a RIS-assisted high-speed train (HST) communication system to improve

Optimize the Coverage Probability of Prediction Interval for Anomaly Detection of Sensor-Based Monitoring Series. [PDF]

open access: yesSensors (Basel), 2018
Effective anomaly detection of sensing data is essential for identifying potential system failures. Because they require no prior knowledge or accumulated labels, and provide uncertainty presentation, the probability prediction methods (e.g., Gaussian ...
