Locating on-street loading and unloading spaces by means of mixed integer programming

open access: yesTransportes, 2018
In an urban freight distribution system, determination of the number and location of loading-unloading places is required to regulate loading-unloading operations.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Results on the Generalized Covering Radius of Error Correcting Codes

open access: yes, 2022
The recently proposed generalized covering radius is a fundamental property of error correcting codes. This quantity characterizes the trade off between time and space complexity of certain algorithms when a code is used in them.

Multi-Class Decision-Making Method for Decision-Theoretic Rough Sets Based on the Constructive Covering Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The constructive covering algorithm (CCA) has unique advantages and functions in dealing with multiple-classification problems. To better address the defects and deficiencies of the existing multi-class decision-theoretic rough sets (DTRSs) model, this ...

Tailoring Functional Properties of Ti–Ni–Cu Shape Memory Alloy Thin Films for MEMS Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A comprehensive study of critical parameters required to develop well‐performing Ti–Ni–Cu thin film shape memory alloy microactuators is provided. Materials science and device integration aspects are integrated by addressing structural and physical relationships using complementary characterization techniques as well as a practical fabrication solution

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Covering Radius 1985-1994

open access: yes, 1994
We survey important developments in the theory of covering radius during the period 1985-1994. We present lower bounds, constructions and upper bounds, the linear and nonlinear cases, density and asymptotic results, normality, specific classes of codes ...

Capacitated Facility Location Problem with Variable Coverage Radius in Distribution System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2010
The problem of locating distribution centers (DCs) is one of the most important issues in design of supply chain. In previous researches on this problem, each DC could supply products for all of the customers. But in many real word problems, DCs can only
