Push-out bond strength of CPP-ACP-modified calcium silicate-based cements

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2015
This study evaluated the push-out bond strength of 0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0% and 3.0% (w/w) casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP)-modified calcium silicate-based cements (CSCs). The push-out bond strength of a trial MTA was also compared with two CSCs (Biodentine(™) and Angelus(®) MTA). Three hundred 1 mm thick horizontal root sections

Design of Hybrid Bioactive Peptides Derived From Cecropin and Cathepsin for Therapeutic Application

open access: yesChemical Biology &Drug Design, Volume 106, Issue 5, November 2025.
This study designs hybrid bioactive peptides from cecropins and cathepsins, showcasing their antimicrobial potential. Notably, we identify critical interactions with microbial targets, DNA gyrase and thymidylate synthase in E. coli, revealing insights into their mechanisms of action as promising novel antimicrobial agents.

Effect of CPP-ACP paste on tooth mineralization: an FE-SEM study

open access: yesJournal of Oral Science, 2007
Milk and milk products, such as cheese, have been shown to exhibit anticariogenic properties in human and animal models. CPP-ACP shows an anti-caries effect by suppressing demineralization, enhancing remineralization, or possibly a combination of both.

Hipersensibilidade dentinária: tratamento com laser e CPP-ACP

open access: yes, 2021

In vitro and in vivo evaluation of electrophoresis-aided casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate remineralisation system on pH-cycling and acid-etching demineralised enamel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Casein phosphate-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP), as a remineralisation agent, is extensively used in managing demineralised enamel; however, its remineralisation kinetics is low.

Cárie dentária associada ao tratamento ortodôntico fixo [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A ortodontia proporciona melhoria estética e oclusão adequada, no entanto constitui risco de conduzir a cáries dentárias. Os dispositivos ortodônticos acarretam a retenção de placa bacteriana e dificultam a higienização adequada das superfícies dentárias.
