Biocompatibility and osteoinductive ability of casein phosphopeptide modified polyetheretherketone
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a potential implant material for dental application due to its excellent mechanical properties. However, its biological inertness and poor osteoinductive ability limited its clinical application.

Copula Relations in Compound Poisson Processes [PDF]
We investigate in multidimensional compound Poisson processes (CPP) the relation between the dependence structure of the jump distribution and the dependence structure of the respective components of the CPP itself.

The N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor antagonist CPP alters synapse and spine structure and impairs long-term potentiation and long-term depression induced morphological plasticity in dentate gyrus of the awake rat [PDF]
Long-term morphological synaptic changes associated with homosynaptic long-term potentiation (LTP) and heterosynaptic long-term depression (LTD) in vivo, in awake adult rats were analyzed using three-dimensional (3-D) reconstructions of electron ...

Photosensitizing lipid nanoparticles (PLNPs) are engineered by incorporating cholesterol–PEG–pheophorbide a into MC3‐based LNPs and encapsulating GPX4‐targeting siRNA. Upon light activation, PLNPs generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) while silencing GPX4 to induce ferroptosis.

Thyroid function in girls with central precocious puberty [PDF]
Purpose Obesity is a well-known risk factor for central precocious puberty (CPP). Recently, elevated thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) was reported in obese youth. However, few data regarding the relationship between CPP and TSH are available. The aim of

Effects of environmental enrichment upon ethanol-induced conditioned place preference and pre-frontal BDNF levels in adolescent and adult mice [PDF]
Environmental enrichment (EE) provides a non-pharmacological tool to alter drug-induced reward, yet its effects on ethanol-induced reward remain controversial. We analyzed adolescent vs.

A carbon nanotube‐based biopesticide system (BioCNTs) enables efficient delivery and systemic movement of RNAi molecules to control major tomato viruses. By integrating shRNA and tRNA‐like structures (TLS) with BioCNTs, this green and scalable approach achieves long‐term silencing and high antiviral efficacy through simple foliar spraying.

Biocompatibility and hard tissue-forming ability of CPP-ACP- and CPP- ACFP-modified calcium silicate-based cements [PDF]
Aims: To evaluate the biocompatibility and osteogenic potential of calcium silicate-based cements (CSCs) modified with casein phosphopeptide – amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) and casein phosphopeptide – amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate (CPP ...

Midbrain PAG Astrocytes Modulate Mouse Defensive and Panic‐Like Behaviors
Astrocytes in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) dynamically encode threat intensity and shape defensive action selection in mice. Real‐time Ca2+ imaging reveals robust astrocytic activation during predator odor and CO2 exposure. Aberrant astrocytic Ca2+ overactivation disrupts goal‐directed escape, biases behavior toward freezing, and induces ...
