An Inversely Tapered Corrugated CPW
33rd European Microwave Conference, 2003, 2003A novel photonic bandgap (PBG) structure, consisting of inversely tapered slots, is introduced. This structure, which is of low cost and easy design/fabrication, exhibits a low-pass behavior with a compact size and simple working principle. Its performances are demonstrated by simulation and measurement results and the working principle of the PBG is ...

Novel CPW-ACPW phase compensated structure in CPW bend
Proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory, 2010A novel CPW-ACPW (coplanar waveguide - asymmetric coplanar waveguide) phase compensated structure for CPW bend is proposed. It introduced a periodic structure composed of CPW, ACPW and CPW to ACPW tapered lines, which can suppress the odd mode excited by different phases in two slots of the bend. The proposed structure had a character of equi-impedance,

Broadband integration using FR-4 to silicon CPW-to-CPW transition
2014 IEEE 23rd Conference on Electrical Performance of Electronic Packaging and Systems, 2014This work demonstrates the use of gold stud bumps in the design of a CPW-to-CPW flip-chip transition between a silicon die and a FR-4 substrate. The performance is optimal in the 57 to 77 GHz range with return loss values better than 20 dB. The insertion loss of the designed transition and bump is 0.35 dB at 60 GHz as demonstrated in a back-to-back ...

CPW-to-CPW via-connected vertical transition for millimeter wave applications
2010 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2010A novel transition between two co-planar waveguides is introduced. The CPW transmission lines are placed in two different layers of a multi-layer PCB and connected through metallic vias. The transition shows an insertion loss better than 0.8 dB for the whole microwave V band.

CPW to microstrip transition using different CPW ground plane structures
2016 IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2016The multilayer circuits are suffers from passive components effect to transit high frequency signal. The passive components are capacitive and inductive reactance of the planar integrated circuit. The part of overall circuit efficiency depending on passivity of the components, interconnections and its geometrical structure, which is helps to build low ...

Transmission line modeling of CPW-slotline transitions and CPW butterfly filters
1994 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.94CH3389-4), 2002This paper presents theoretical analyses of CPW-slotline transitions and CPW butterfly filters using the transmission line models. Accurate modeling of non-uniform CPW and slotline radial stubs was developed using tandem connected uniform lines. Measured results of various transitions and filters agree very well with calculation.

2004 10th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics and URSI Conference, 2004
The CPW feed to the Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) has attracted considerable attention in view of the low loss, low dispersion and uniplanar nature of the CPW line compared to the microstrip feed [1]-[4]. Also, the CPW feed is easily amenable to active device integration without the need of vias.

CPW-fed oscillating microstrip antennas
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1996 Digest, 2002The use of active microwave solid state devices providing localized power drive for planar antenna elements has simulated interest over the past few years particularly for low cost phased array radar, spatial power combiner and automatic vehicle tolling applications.

Ultra-Wideband CPW-to-Substrate Integrated Waveguide Transition Using an Elevated-CPW Section
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2008In this letter, an elevated-coplanar waveguide (ECPW) is proposed for an intermediate section of a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-to-substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) transition. The ECPW is used to attain a gradual mode matching and to achieve the consequent wide bandwidth.

An Elliptical CPW Fed UWB Slot Antenna
Wireless Personal Communications, 2021A new CPW fed elliptical antenna for ultra-wideband (UWB) is proposed. The novelty of this antenna are very small size and uniplanar structure, which results in easy and low cost fabrication. This antenna has elliptical slot configuration which is fed by the CPW.
