On-line Electrochemical Oxidation of Cr(III) for the Determination of Total Cr by Flow Injection–Solid Phase Spectrophotometry [PDF]
A novel on-line oxidation method of ultra-trace Cr(III) dissolved in natural water has been developed using a flow electrolysis cell. This method was successfully applied to the determination of the total Cr concentration by flow injection–solid phase

Are there stable long-range ordered Fe(1-x)Cr(x) compounds?
The heat of formation of Fe-Cr alloys undergoes an anomalous change of sign at small Cr concentrations. This observation raises the question whether there are intermetallic phases present in this composition range. Here we report the discovery of several

Objective The goal was to assess the diagnostic performance of three novel autoantibodies (NA) for Sjögren disease (SjD) by comparing NA prevalence in patients with SjD, other autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARDs), nonspecific chronic sialadenitis (CS), and controls.

Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Background Clinical response to Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is highly heterogeneous; thus, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) may help improve treatment efficacy. This systematic review and meta‐analysis examined therapeutic ranges for MPA levels associated with better outcomes and safety in patients with SLE, particularly those with extra‐renal ...

Control of coherence resonance by self-induced stochastic resonance in a multiplex neural network
We consider a two-layer multiplex network of diffusively coupled FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) neurons in the excitable regime. It is shown, in contrast to SISR in a single isolated FHN neuron, that the maximum noise amplitude at which SISR occurs in the network

Background Social determinants of health (SDOH) contribute to JIA disparities, but most studies have assessed SDOH independently rather than cumulatively across individual, family, and neighborhood levels. Using a socioecological framework, we investigated the relationship between cumulative social disadvantage, neighborhood disadvantage, and JIA ...

Importance of winter rape for small rodents
Winter rape stands are important habitat for the common vole (Microtus arvalis) and the pygmy field mouse (Apodemus microps). In autumn, the common vole is dominant in this habitat (D = 75%) and reproduces in it (17% of population).
