Transient Analysis of Dynamic Crack Propagation With Boundary Effect [PDF]
In this study, a dynamic antiplane crack propagation with constant velocity in a configuration with boundary is investigated in detail. The reflected cylindrical waves which are generated from the free boundary will interact with the propagating crack and make the problem extremely difficult to analyze. A useful fundamental solution is proposed in this

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

An Analysis of Fatigue Crack Propagation Rate
Hereunder is presented the report of the studies that the authors have made about the effect of mean stress on fatigue crack propagation rate at room temperature and at various other low temperatures. Some of authors' conclusions have appeared to be different from those of other investigators.

Fatigue crack growth rates under variable amplitude load spectra containing tensile underloads [PDF]
An extensive research program was performed to investigate the load interaction effect of the combined action of small amplitude high R ratio cycles and large amplitude low R ratio underloads on the crack growth of large cracks.
