Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Ductile cast irons: microstructure influence on fatigue crack propagation resistance
Microstructure influence on fatigue crack propagation resistance in five different ductile cast irons (DCI) was investigated. Four ferrite/pearlite volume fractions were considered, performing fatigue crack propagation tests according to ASTM E647 ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF CRACK PROPAGATION IN A STEEL SPECIMEN UNDER BENDING [PDF]
The paper compares numerically modeled crack propagation in a steel specimen with a real process of fiber separation. The objective of the study was to perform numerical analysis of crack propagation in order to determine the shape of a crack and the ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

The effect of weld residual stresses and their re-distribution with crack growth during fatigue under constant amplitude loading [PDF]
In this work the evolution of the residual stresses in a MIG-welded 2024-T3 aluminium alloy M(T) specimen during in situ fatigue crack growth at constant load amplitude has been measured with neutron diffraction.

Analysis of fatigue crack propagation mechanism of Ni3Al under supergravity at atomic size
Mechanisms of fatigue crack propagation of Ni3Al alloy under supergravity are studied by the molecular dynamics method. The initial model of the crack is a [100](010) crack in Ni3Al.
