A new species of the genus Tanna Distant, 1905 (Hemiptera: Cicadidae), Tanna crassa sp. nov., is described from Vietnam. Some taxonomic changes are made in Tanna. Tanna simultaneous (Chen, 1940) syn. nov. is synonymized with Tanna abdominalis (Kato, 1938)
