Characterization of Cre recombinase activity for in vivo targeting of adipocyte precursor cells. [PDF]
The increased incidence of obesity and metabolic disease underscores the importance of elucidating the biology of adipose tissue development. The recent discovery of cell surface markers for prospective identification of adipose precursor cells (APCs) in

ALKBH3 m1A Demethylase Deficiency Reduces Alzheimer's Amyloid‐β Pathology
This study identifies that ALKBH3‐driven m1A demethylation orchestrates Alzheimer's disease progression by disrupting mitochondrial and synaptic homeostasis. This epitranscriptomic mechanism suppresses PINK1‐mediated mitophagy via m1A erasure, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, elevated Aβ production, and impaired microglial ...

The cellular and synaptic architecture of the mechanosensory dorsal horn [PDF]
The deep dorsal horn is a poorly characterized spinal cord region implicated in processing low-threshold mechanoreceptor (LTMR) information. We report an array of mouse genetic tools for defining neuronal components and functions of the dorsal horn LTMR ...

We demonstrate that Cars2, a cysteine catabolic enzyme in mouse iBAT, is critical for cold tolerance and brown adipocyte differentiation. Through its CPERS activity, Cars2 produces CysSSH/H2S to induce EBF2 persulfidation, promoting its interaction with PPARγ and BRG1 to enhance thermogenic gene expression.

Osteocytes and mechanical loading: The Wnt connection [PDF]
Bone adapts to the mechanical forces that it experiences. Orthodontic tooth movement harnesses the cell‐ and tissue‐level properties of mechanotransduction to achieve alignment and reorganization of the dentition.

Dorsal Raphe VIP Neurons Are Critical for Survival‐Oriented Vigilance
DRNVIP neurons in mice and primates are strategically positioned to influence the central extended amygdala via feedback loops. They regulate the excitability of PKC‐δ neurons in the ovBNST and CeA through glutamate release. Their ablation heightens activity in these regions, disrupts active‐phase sleep architecture, enhances risk assessment behaviors ...

The 9th International RASopathies Symposium
ABSTRACT The RASopathies are a group of congenital disorders with overlapping clinical manifestations that are caused by pathogenic germline or early somatic variants that result in the hyperactivation of the RAS/mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway.

Altered Brain Structure in an ATRX‐Deficient Mouse Model of Autism Spectrum Disorder
ABSTRACT Mutations in the ATRX gene are a primary cause of alpha‐thalassemia intellectual disability X‐linked (ATRX) syndrome, which is characterized by intellectual disability, autism, and a range of brain structural abnormalities, including microcephaly.
