Development of a Mechanically Regenerating Desublimator for Freeze‐Drying Systems in the Food Industry

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Thermal defrosting limits desublimator efficiency in freeze‐drying. This review and case study compares thermal versus mechanical regeneration, links frost properties and external heat transfer to energy demand, and summarizes pilot‐scale scraping results enabling single‐unit, continuous lyophilization.

Population Pharmacokinetics and Detection Times of Betamethasone After Intravenous, Intramuscular, and Intranasal Jet Administration of Betamethasone Sodium Phosphate in Horses

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Betamethasone concentrations in 20 horses from Japan and Germany following IV, IM, and INJ administration of betamethasone phosphate were analyzed using population pharmacokinetic modeling. For IV administration of 0.04 mg/kg q24 h, IPC and IUC were 0.012 and 0.31 ng/mL, respectively; the IUC approximated the IFHA urine ISL (0.20 ng/mL).

Potential Contamination Cases in Anti‐Doping: Experiences and Practices of 33 Anti‐Doping Organisations

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Across 33 Anti‐Doping Organisations (ADOs), 85% reported experiencing at least one contamination‐claim case in 2024–2025, but only 36% operate a standardised process for handling such claims. Dietary supplements were the leading alleged contamination source (76% of ADOs), followed by food (42%) and pharmaceutical products, intimate contact, and other ...

Chelation‐Assisted Metal‐Catalyzed Ligation and Cleavage Reactions for Chemical Biology

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Chelation‐assisted transition metal catalysis has emerged as a promising complement to bioorthogonal click chemistry for studying biological processes. By pre‐organizing catalytic metal centers, designed coordinating substrates enhance reactivity and biocompatibility, enabling site‐selective ligation and decaging reactions in complex biological media ...
