CREASING BEHAVIOR OF SOME WOVEN MATERIALS MADE FROM COMBED YARNS TYPE [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2017
The paper analyses the behavior to creasing of some woven materials made from yarns type wool used for ready-made clothes. Factors like fibrous composition, properties of constituent fibers, wovens structure parameters, mechanical properties of warp and ...

The Osmium Isotope Signature of Phanerozoic Large Igneous Provinces

open access: yesGeophysical Monograph Series, Page 229-246., 2021

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

Elastocapillary Crease

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2019
A material under compression often forms creases. When the material is elastic and soft, the nucleation of creases depends on both elasticity and capillarity. Here we introduce a model of elastocapillary creases. The model assumes that the surface tension remains constant on the free surface, but may change upon self-contact.

Effects of folding numbers, scoring depth and bending velocity on bending-moment relaxation of creased paperboard

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal, 2014
This work deals with the time-dependent creasing characteristics of coated paperboard. The correlation between the bending strength (resistance) and time-dependent problems on the actual processing phenomenon has not been sufficiently discussed in the ...
