Abstract Much psychologically oriented micro‐CSR research emphasizes intra‐individual processes, leading to a relative omission of the role of interactions among individuals in managing CSR. This limitation hinders the potential of such micro‐CSR research to explain CSR as an organizational‐level outcome.

Abstract Community participation is recognized as a crucial yet problematic element for addressing many issues in social development. Generating participation, however, is particularly challenging due to existing inequalities within heterogeneous communities, making it difficult for organizations to engage marginalized groups while letting go of their ...

Possibilistic networks parameter learning: Preliminary empirical comparison [PDF]
International audienceLike Bayesian networks, possibilistic ones compactly encode joint uncertainty representations over a set of variables. Learning possibilistic networks from data in general and from imperfect or scarce data in particular, has not ...

ABSTRACT According to Tolstoy's theory of art, personal expression plays a crucial role as an essential artistic element since it is associated with originality and emotional communication. Is personal expression also significant in philosophy? We often tend to believe that in a philosophical theory, this element is, or should be, absent in the pursuit

Credal Networks under Maximum Entropy
We apply the principle of maximum entropy to select a unique joint probability distribution from the set of all joint probability distributions specified by a credal network. In detail, we start by showing that the unique joint distribution of a Bayesian tree coincides with the maximum entropy model of its conditional distributions.

Nightlife settings have been the focus of sociological inquiry for decades, with existing studies primarily focused on consumers and selective entry to elite clubs. However, workers' experiences have been largely overlooked. This study examines workers' experiences in elite nightclubs, including getting hired and interacting with managers and consumers.

Local Computation in Credal Networks
The goal of this contribution is to discuss local computation in credal networks — graphical models that can represent imprecise and indeterminate probability values. We analyze the inference problem in credal networks, discuss how inference algorithms can benefit from local computation, and suggest that local computation can be particularly important ...
