Social‐Symbolic Work of Engaging Heterogeneous Communities: Participation Work and Entangled Effects on Organizations and Communities

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 3278-3316, September 2026.
Abstract Community participation is recognized as a crucial yet problematic element for addressing many issues in social development. Generating participation, however, is particularly challenging due to existing inequalities within heterogeneous communities, making it difficult for organizations to engage marginalized groups while letting go of their ...

Locally specified credal networks

open access: yes, 2006
Credal networks are models that extend Bayesian nets to deal with imprecision in probability, and can actually be regarded as sets of Bayesian nets. Evidence suggests that credal nets are a powerful means to represent and deal with many important and ...

Probabilistic-possibilistic belief networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The interpretation of membership functions of fuzzy sets as statistical likelihood functions leads to a probabilistic-possibilistic hierarchical description of uncertain knowledge.

Inference with Seperately Specified Sets of Probabilities in Credal Networks

open access: yesCoRR, 2012
We present new algorithms for inference in credal networks --- directed acyclic graphs associated with sets of probabilities. Credal networks are here interpreted as encoding strong independence relations among variables. We first present a theory of credal networks based on separately specified sets of probabilities.

Evidence Integration in Credal Networks and Jeffrey's Rule

open access: yes, 2011
Credal networks provide a scheme for dealing with imprecise probabilistic models. The inference algorithms often used in credal networks compute the interval of the posterior probability of an event of interest given evidence of the specific kind ...
