Creep Characteristics of Tungsten Wires
MRS Proceedings, 1993AbstractIn this study heavily-drawn tungsten wires were tested for creep at a constant load of 115 MPa in a 10-3 torr nitrogen atmosphere. These fine wires had an elongated rectangular grain morphology with small average grain sizes, 1.6 to 2.2 µm. The typical test sample wire was about 2.54 m long and 130 µm in diameter.

Creep Characteristics of the Human Spinal Column
Orthopedic Clinics of North America, 1975Thirty-two static compression tests were carried out on 52 intervertebral disks and their posterior articular facet joints. The spinal units were tested within a uniquely designed test apparatus. Following the experiment, each intervertebral disk was examined macroscopically to assess the degree of disk degeneration.

Compressive creep characteristics of extruded ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1998The static compressive creep behavior of ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) was studied under physiologic conditions. Specimens were machined from the center and periphery of extruded GUR 4150HP rod stock and were subjected to constant pressures of 2, 4, or 8 MPa for intervals as long as 10(4) min.

Studies about Creep Characteristic of Silty Clay on Triaxial Drained Creep Test
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014The creep characteristic of saturated silty clay was studied by triaxial drained creep test through two stress paths of axial loading and lateral lightening. According to test data, some conclusions were submitted. First, the axial creep laws between the two stress paths were consistent on the drainage conditions.

A “characteristic-strain” model for creep
Materials at High Temperatures, 2008AbstractThe paper describes the construction of a model of creep that is very simple to implement and lends itself to engineering applications for steady or relaxing loads. The model encompasses primary, secondary and tertiary creep behaviour without requiring separate representation of each phase.

Creep Relaxation Characteristics in European Standards
Volume 2: Computer Technology and Bolted Joints, 2015The European Standards EN 1591-1 which is used for the calculation of bolted flanged joints and EN 13555 in which the determination of the required gasket characteristics are defined were reissued last year. The definition of the creep/relaxation factor in EN 13555 and EN 1591-1 has been modified in these new issues of the standards ...

Characteristics of interface cracks in creep regime
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 1998In this study, the growth behavior of interface cracks in bimaterials and in graded/layered materials at creep regime was studied. In the first part of the study, the evolution of the time-dependent stress states ahead of the stationary interface cracks was elucidated using a finite element model.

Creep characteristics and cavitation mechanisms of AA2017
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part L: Journal of Materials: Design and ApplicationsIn this work, the creep behavior of AA2017 and the governing cavitation processes were investigated at intermediate temperatures. Initially, the examined alloy was subjected to solution treatment at 495 °C and then over-aged at 210 °C. Afterward, the creep tests were performed over a temperature range of 120 °C to 210 °C and applied stress in the 120 ...
