Prediksi Laju Perambatan Retak Melar pada Baja Austenitik 316L Menggunakan Data Uji Melar dan Metode NSW

open access: yesRekayasa Mesin, 2019
In this study, an experimental creep crack growth rate (CCGR) of austenitic steel AISI 316L was predicted from the creep constant values and Nibkin Smith Webster (NSW) method.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Correlation of microseismic and chemical properties of brittle deformation in Locharbriggs sandstone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The time-dependent properties of ceramic materials such as rocks depend both on preexisting cracks and chemical properties acting at their tips. We have examined the direct effect of chemical processes on the growth of a crack population by carrying out ...

Residual life assessment of welded joints in the girth weld root [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2020
The article analyzes the influence of the structural crack-like defect in the girth weld root welding the bottom to the collector body on the crack growth resistance.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The method for reproducing fine grained HAZ of W strengthened high Cr steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The methods for reproducing fine grained heat affected zone of high Cr steel for creep test were investigated. This research was motivated by the need for reproducing uniform FGHAZ to investigate the creep damage process and untangle the coupling between

A new constitutive model for the time-dependent behavior of rocks with consideration of damage parameter

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2022
Deformation and time-dependent behavior of rocks are closely related to the stability and safety of underground structures and mines. In this paper, a numerical-analytical model is presented to investigate time-dependent damage and deformation of rocks ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
