Long-term creep rupture strength prediction for a new grade of 9Cr martensitic creep resistant steel (G115)—An application of a new tensile creep rupture model

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
A method is presented to firstly rationalise the short-term creep rupture strength data and then to predict the 100,000 h creep rupture strengths of a new 9Cr grade of martensitic creep resistant steels (G115) at different temperatures.

Discovering chemistry to creep rupture equations in Alloy 617 with machine learning [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
This study seeks to discover a mathematical relationship between stress, temperature, properties, chemistry, and creep-rupture of a superalloy. This discovery will be achieved by leveraging human-supervised machine learning (ML).

Evaluation equation for creep rupture life of Gr. 91 steel considering region classification and difference in creep strength between heats

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2022
A creep rupture life evaluation equation for Gr. 91 steel was proposed, taking account of the region classification and the creep strength difference between heats. The creep rupture life evaluation equation consists of three parts.

Long-term creep properties of Ni-based 21Cr-18Fe-9Mo superalloys

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials: Methods, 2023
Tensile properties and creep rupture strength were evaluated for Ni-based 21Cr-18Fe-9Mo superalloy plate and bar products used for gas turbines. Tensile tests at room temperature to 1000°C and creep tests at 700°C to 1000°C were performed in accordance ...

The rupture life prediction in cold dwell fatigue of Ti-6Al-4V based on the creep deformation [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2020
Titanium a lloys have been found that the fatigue strength of Ti alloys decreases due to cold dwell fatigue (CDF) at room temperature. Ti and Ti alloys generate creep deformation at room temperature (T/Tm = 0.15).

Competition of strength and stress disorder in creep rupture [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2012
Based on a fiber bundle model of subcritical fracture with localized load sharing, we show that the interplay of threshold disorder and the inhomogeneous stress field gives rise to a rich dynamics with intriguing aspects. In the model, fibers fail either due to immediate breaking or to a slow damage process.

Influence of constitutive model on calculation results of creep deformation response of notched specimen of GH4169 alloy

open access: yesJournal of Aeronautical Materials, 2021
In view of the creep deformation failure of areo-engine high temperature components, the elastoplastic and creep deformation response of GH4169 alloy smooth and notched plate specimens at 650 ℃ is calculated using elastoplastic coupled creep constitutive

Design of a new 11Cr martensitic steel and evaluation of its long-term creep rupture strengths

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
A new grade of 11 wt% Cr steel was designed in which no nitrogen was added to minimise the driving force of the Z-phase formation and hence to maximise the stability of the fine MX precipitate particles. But, 6 wt% Co was added to completely suppress the
