Extrapolation for Creep-Rupture Strength by Nonlinear Programming.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series A, 1995
Up to now, various TTP (time-temperature parameter) methods have been proposed to deter. mine creep-rupture strength by extrapolation. The TTP methods based on regression analysis, however, reflect such a general tendency of the regression curve that the estimation accuracy of rupture time is low at the lowest and highest stresses in the test stress ...

On the Short-Term Creep Response at 482 °C (900 °F) of the 17-4PH Steel Produced by Bound Metal Deposition

open access: yesMetals, 2022
The creep response of the 17-4PH precipitation hardening steel produced by a new additive manufacturing technology (Bound Metal Deposition) was investigated at 482 °C (900 °F), under stresses ranging from 350 to 600 MPa.

A review of experimental studies of creep and creep rupture strength (2004–2021)

open access: yesDiagnostics, Resource and Mechanics of materials and structures, 2022
The paper reviews studies conducted between 2004 and 2021 for various metal materials (magnesium-lithium alloy, copper, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, steel, nickel alloy) in the temperature range from 20 to 1100 °C. In those studies the test results were obtained for isothermal creep under uniaxial tension and complex stress.

Creep of High-Strength Steel Coated with Plasma Sprayed Self-Fluxing Alloy

open access: yesMetals, 2023
This article compares the creep testing behavior of AISI 4340 high-strength steel in the as-received and coated conditions. The coating material used was a NiCrBSi self-fluxing alloy. The microstructural characterization was carried out using optical and

Experimental Study on Shear Creep and Long-Term Strength of Clay-Type Muddy Interlayer

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In order to have a better understanding of the shear creep characteristics of muddy interlayer in unstable landslides, we took the more “inferior” clay muddy interlayer as the research object, and shear creep experiments under different normal stress ...

Creep data sheet for Nickel-based 19Cr-18Fe-3Mo-5Nb-Ti-Al superalloy

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials: Methods
Creep data of Ni-based 19Cr-18Fe-3Mo-5Nb-Ti-Al superalloy (JIS NCF718-B) were obtained at 550°C to 750°C under 100MPa to 1000MPa and analyzed to determine the 100,000 h creep rupture strength.

Influence of normalizing and tempering temperatures on the creep properties of P92 steel

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2020
P92 steel is used as a piping material in ultra super critical power plants that can be operated at steam temperatures up to 650°C. The changes in the martensitic microstructure of P92 steel must be evaluated thoroughly before it is put into actual ...
