Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Impact of Co2C nanoparticles on enhancing the critical current density of Bi-2223 superconductor

open access: yesAIP Advances
We have investigated the superconducting properties of nanocomposite pellets made from Bi-2223 and Co2C powders. Our measurements reveal loss of superconducting fraction in the nanocomposites.

Enhanced domain wall velocity near a ferromagnetic instability

open access: yes, 2018
Assuming a Fermi liquid behavior for $s$-conduction electrons, we rewrite the extended Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation renormalized by interactions through the Landau parameters $F^{a}_{l}$ ($l=0,1,2 \cdots$) in an explicit form to describe the ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Insight into Oxygen Transport in Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers by In Situ X‐Ray Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Science
The proton exchange membrane water electrolyzer (PEMWE) is one of the most promising electrochemical energy conversion devices for hydrogen production, while still limited by performance bottlenecks at high current densities, due to the lack of mass ...
