Critical current density of MTG-YBa2Cu2.99Li0.01Oy crystals

Physica C: Superconductivity, 2006
Abstract The temperature dependence of AC susceptibility has been measured as a function of AC amplitude and frequency at zero DC field in MTG-YBa2Cu2.99Li0.01Oy crystals. We try to extract the critical current density near Tc from the real component of AC susceptibility curves.

Superconductivity, intergrain, and intragrain critical current densities of materials

Physical Review B, 1989
Bulk sintered and powdered samples of the high-temperature superconductive compounds ${\mathrm{Tl}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Ca}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Ba}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}$${\mathrm{O}}_{1+\mathrm{\ensuremath{\delta}}}$ (Tl-2:2:2:3) and ${\mathrm{Tl}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Ca}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Ba}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Cu}}_{2}$${\mathrm{O}}_{8+\mathrm{\ensuremath{\delta}}}$ (Tl ...

Critical Current Densities from ac Susceptibility Data

1991
A method for the accurate determination of bulk critical currents (Js) of high temperature superconductors (HTS) via high resolution ac susceptibility measurements is described. It is based on the critical-state model, but its results, unlike those obtained from other methods (e.g. magnetization hysteresis or voltage versus transport current, i.e.

Critical Current Densities of MOCVD Tapes for Different Current Directions

IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2011
The critical current density Jc of an MOCVD/IBAD coated conductor was measured on tracks patterned longitudinally (L) and transversely (T) to the tape direction. Despite the samples' vicinality no dependence of Jc on track direction was found for magnetic fields applied perpendicular to the film plane.

Reduction in critical current density of current-induced magnetization switching

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2006
We have investigated the current-induced magnetization switching in an exchange-biased spin valve structure. By using an unpatterned antiferromagnetic layer to pin the fixed Co layer, we obtained a lower switching current density by a factor of 5 than a simple spin valve structure.

CRITICAL CURRENT DENSITY IN HIGH-Tc Y1-xLnxBa2Cu3O7-δ SYSTEM

Physica B+C, 1987
Abstract The critical current density, J c has been measured for the Y 1- x Ln x Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7-δ (Ln=Ce, Eu, Dy, Er, Tm and Lu) system under magnetic fields up to 27 T. For the samples with x =0.1 prepared by a single heat treatment, J c seemed to show a maximum around Dy.

Critical current densities in cryolite-alumina melts

Electrochimica Acta, 1967
Abstract The occurrence of the anode effect on graphite electrodes in cryolite-alumina melts has been studied with a potential-sweep method. The peak currents observed are, according to tradition, designated critical current densities (ccd). A linear relationship between the ccd and the concentration of alumina was observed with a break in the curve ...
