Critical scaling for yield is independent of distance to isostaticity
Using discrete element simulations, we demonstrate that critical behavior for yielding in soft disk and sphere packings is independent of the distance to isostaticity over a wide range of dimensionless pressures.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Adult Distance Education Students' Perspective on Critical Success Factors of e-Learning
[[abstract]]It is still the greatest hot issue about efficiency on learning. This study is part of a broader research approach concerning the investigation of students’ opinions and aims to study adult distance education students’ perspective on critical

From tumor‐centric to ecosystem‐based hypotheses in brain tumor research and care
Primary brain tumors, whether in adults or children, present a major challenge because of their dramatic prognosis and the ongoing lack of efficient therapeutic approaches. In recent years, a shift has occurred from tumor‐centric concepts to a more holistic view of these tumors as dynamic ecosystems.

Skills Development Through Distance Education
Open and distance learning provides a means to accessing the skills needed for development. The demands for training from the labour market are very large and ongoing; the demands from young people seeking employment or wanting to become self-employed ...

Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Negative Data in DEA: A Simple Proportional Distance Function Approach [PDF]
The need to adapt Data Development Analysis (DEA) and other frontier models in the context of negative data has been a rather neglected issue in the literature.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
