A Bifunctional T3SS‐Effector Simultaneously Cleaves Host MAP Kinase and Inhibits PPM1A Phosphatase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pathogenic bacteria exploit the metalloprotease effector NleD to subvert host defenses. Structural, biochemical, and infection analyses reveal a bifunctional mechanism by which NleD binds and inhibits the host phosphatase PPM1A while preserving its proteolytic activity against MAPKs.

A Radioresistant‐Tumor‐Targeted Nanoparticle for X‐Ray‐Controlled Nitric Oxide Release to Potentiate Radiotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The PBTN targets GRP78 and, upon X‐ray irradiation, generates ONOO− to induce immunogenic cell death, thereby activating CD8+ T cells and establishing a systemic antitumor immune response. ABSTRACT Nitric oxide (NO) treated radioresistant tumors by relieving hypoxia and blocking DNA repair, but its nonselective toxicity has precluded therapeutic use ...

Wavelength dependency of the critical flicker-fusion frequency:Therapeutic 40 Hz light source in alzheimer’s disease

open access: yes, 2021
The use of controlled temporal modulated light increased in prominence since the LEDs invention, e.g., in computer monitors and light therapy devices. The benefits of using LEDs compared to old incandescent light bulbs range from environmental load to ...

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.

Sustainable Synaptic Device with Two‐Dimensional Ferroelectric Materials for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
α‐In2Se3 based FeSFETs can be utilized as sustainable devices through polarization switching governed by both out‐of‐plane and in‐plane polarizations. Upon reaching a fatigued state, current annealing enabled by conductance modulation can significantly enhance the endurance of FeSFETs.

The Apparatus to Measure the Multi-point Critical Flicker Fusion Frequency (MCFF)

open access: yes, 1984
In this paper, we mentioned the apparatus developed to measure CFFs at the various point of the retina. Eleven CFFs measured at the central retina of both eyes (used usually} simultaneously, at the central retina of each eye separately, and at four ...
