Heat Transfer Characteristics and Prediction Model of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide (SC-CO2) in a Vertical Tube

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
Due to its distinct capability to improve the efficiency of shale gas production, supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) fracturing has attracted increased attention in recent years. Heat transfer occurs in the transportation and fracture processes.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Control of lithospheric to crustal fault architecture on Cenozoic Rift geothermal systems (Upper Rhine, Bresse and Limagne, France)

open access: yesBSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin
Hydrothermal groundwater systems are key to renewable energy due to their high thermal efficiency. Effective geothermal resources require not only a heat source but also permeable geological formations and appropriate flow patterns.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Characteristics of heat transfer under boiling refrigerant transition by pool boiling of immiscible mixtures (Effects of the height of more-volatile liquid layer)

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2019
Boiling heat transfer using immiscible liquid mixtures is an innovative cooling technique for high-heat-density electronic devices. Immiscible liquid mixtures which are composed of more-volatile liquid with higher density and less-volatile liquid with ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

THEORETICAL CALCULATION METHOD FOR POWDER CAPILLARY STRUCTURE OF LOOP HEAT PIPE WITH INVERTED MENISCUS

open access: yesНаука и техника, 2011
Organization of heat exchange in the evaporator of a loop heat pipe (LHP) by the principle of inverted menisci is connected with considerable non-uniformity of heat flow on an evaporating surface that reduces LHP operating characteristics.
