Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

Effects of crucible materials on the H2 reduction of MoO3

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
The present study examined how different crucible materials (W, Mo, corundum, and 310S high-temperature-resistant stainless steel) affected hydrogen-reduced molybdenum trioxide, focusing on the resulting Mo powder's morphology, particle size and impurity

Mott physics and first-order transition between two metals in the normal state phase diagram of the two-dimensional Hubbard model

open access: yes, 2011
For doped two-dimensional Mott insulators in their normal state, the challenge is to understand the evolution from a conventional metal at high doping to a strongly correlated metal near the Mott insulator at zero doping.

Upper critical fields in normal metal–superconductor–normal metal trilayers

open access: yesScientific Reports
The role of spin orbit interaction in superconducting proximity effect is an area of intense research effort. Recent theoretical and experimental works investigate the possible role of spin-orbit interaction in generating spin-triplet pair correlations.

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Superconductivity in Uranium Ferromagnets

open access: yes, 2017
The theoretical description and the survey of physical properties of superconducting states in the uranium ferromagnetic materials are presented. On the basis of microscopic theory is shown that the coupling between the electrons in these ferromagnetic ...

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

New Universality Class of Quantum Criticality in Ce- and Yb-based Heavy Fermions

open access: yes, 2012
A new universality class of quantum criticality emerging in itinerant electron systems with strong local electron correlations is discussed. The quantum criticality of a Ce- or Yb-valence transition gives us a unified explanation for unconventional ...

Critical metals in discarded electronics

open access: yes, 2016
Recycling of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) traditionally focuses on large quantities of waste materials such as plastics. However, some product groups in the WEEE contain hidden treasures in the form of critical metals. This project assesses the critical metals’ waste handling as part of five selected product groups, in the ...
