Cavitation nanobubbles enhancing the flotation of microfine ilmenite and associated fundamentals
Nanobubbles (NBs) have been extensively utilized in mineral flotation, acting as secondary collectors to improve flotation efficiency. However, the fundamental interaction mechanisms between NBs and flotation collector remain unclear.

Quasiparticles and order parameter near quantum phase transition in heavy fermion metals
It is shown that the Landau paradigm based upon both the quasiparticle concept and the notion of the order parameter is valid and can be used to explain the anomalous behavior of the heavy fermion metals near quantum critical points. The understanding of

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Estimation of critical metal stock and recycling potential in China’s automobile industry
The rapid expansion of electric vehicles (EVs) in China will induce a potential imbalance in the demand and supply of critical metals, which emphasized the importance of recycling critical metals.

Finite temperature crossovers near quantum tricritical points in metals
We present a renormalization group treatment of quantum tricriticality in metals. Applying a set of flow equations derived within the functional renormalization group framework we evaluate the correlation length in the quantum critical region of the ...

Type-I superconductivity in ScGa3 and LuGa3 single crystals [PDF]
We present evidence of type-I superconductivity in single crystals of ScGa3 and LuGa3, from magnetization, specific heat, and resistivity measurements: low critical temperatures Tc = 2.1-2.2 K; field-induced secondto first-order phase transition in the ...

Strange metal without magnetic criticality [PDF]
A mysteriously misbehaving phase Two electrons in a vacuum repel each other because they carry like charges. But in a metal, with a bunch of other electrons, in some ways they behave as if they didn't interact. This phenomenon, known as the Fermi liquid (FL) behavior, comes with a typical quadratic dependence of the solid's ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Extraction of Rare-Earth Elements from Silicate-Based Ore through Hydrometallurgical Route
The European Union and several countries/regions classified the rare-earth elements (REEs), such as lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, and scandium, as critical due to the risk of supply interruption.
