Crossover and critical exponents for percolation in the semi-infinite plane
The percolation problem in the semi-infinite plane is discussed in terms of the two competing length scales xi (p), the correlation length, and d, the distance from the surface. A crossover hypothesis for the percolation probability P(d, xi (p)) is proposed and two limiting regimes are identified.

ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Multiaxial fatigue crack path prediction using critical plane concept
Prediction of fatigue crack orientation can be an essential step for estimating fatigue crack path. Critical plane concept is widely used due to its physical basis that fatigue failure is associated with certain plane(s).

Crossover of critical behavior and magnetocaloric effect in FePd2Te2 with one-dimensional Fe chains [PDF]
Recently, a two-dimensional ferromagnet FePd2Te2 exhibiting easy-plane anisotropy with a quasi-one-dimensional spin system has been discovered. We report the magnetic critical behavior and magnetocaloric effect of FePd2Te2 single crystals with magnetic ...

We report detailed very low temperature resistivity measurements on the heavy fermion compounds Ce_{1-x}La_{x}CoIn5 (x=0 and x=0.01), with current applied in two crystallographic directions [100] (basal plane) and [001] (perpendicular to the basal plane)

ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...

Research of Fatigue Crack Growth Based on Critical Plane Method
To precisely simulate the path of crack growth, a simulation of crack growth progress has been presented by using the redevelopment function of ANSYS APDL and introducing the random criterion of crack propagate directions with critical plane approach ...

Anisotropy of the upper critical field in MgB2: the two-gap Ginzburg-Landau theory
The upper critical field in MgB2 is investigated in the framework of the two-gap Ginzburg-Landau theory. A variational solution of linearized Ginzburg-Landau equations agrees well with the Landau level expansion and demonstrates that spatial ...

ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients

Influence of chirality on buckling of inextensible rings subject to dead loading
A variational approach is studied to understand buckling of inextensible rings made from chiral filaments and subject to dead loading. In opposite to previous literatures in which only in-plane bifurcation is allowed, i.e., the ring deforms only in its ...
