Investigation of the soil properties that affect Olsen P critical values in different soil types and impact on P fertiliser recommendations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Optimization of phosphorus (P) fertiliser use is desired to ensure more sustainable use of fertiliser, economic food production and reduction of eutrophication of water bodies.

The Cortex and the Critical Point [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
How the cerebral cortex operates near a critical phase transition point for optimum performance. Individual neurons have limited computational powers, but when they work together, it is almost like magic.

Cybersecurity for Satellite Smart Critical Infrastructure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
A satellite communication system, as a typical example of the Internet of things, is a smart critical infrastructure and has become an essential component used in various services such as finances, communications, ground and air-borne navigation ...

Production and properties of solid biochar from oil palm trunk waste using sub-critical water technology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Sub-critical water (sub-CW) technology was utilised to produce solid biochar (SB) from oil palm trunk (OPT). This study evaluated the production of SB from sub-CW treatment of the top and bottom parts of 21- and 35-year old OPT. The SB production and its

Comparison between Multi-Linear- and Radial-Basis-Function-Neural-Network-Based QSPR Models for The Prediction of The Critical Temperature, Critical Pressure and Acentric Factor of Organic Compounds

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Critical properties and acentric factor are widely used in phase equilibrium calculations but are difficult to evaluate with high accuracy for many organic compounds.

Complexity Properties of Critical Sets of Arguments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In an abstract argumentation framework, there are often multiple plausible ways to evaluate (or label) the status of each argument as accepted, rejected, or undecided. But often there exists a critical set of arguments whose status is sufficient to determine uniquely the status of every other argument.

Critical properties of superconducting Ba1−xKxFe2As2 [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica C: Superconductivity, 2010
Magnetisation and magnetoresistance measurements have been carried out on superconducting Ba1-xKxFe2As2 samples with x=0.40 and 0.50. From low field magnetization data carried out at different temperatures below TC, HC1 has been extracted. The plot of HC1 versus temperature shows an anomalous increase at low temperatures.

Critical and sustainable fluxes: theory, experiments and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Over the last ten years, numerous membrane filtration data have been viewed in the light of the concept of critical flux. This concept, used in a number of different ways often without explicit redefinition, is here clarified both from a theoretical and

Critical Properties of the Kitaev-Heisenberg Model

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2012
We study critical properties of the Kitaev-Heisenberg model on the honeycomb lattice at finite temperatures which might describe the physics of the quasi two-dimensional compounds, Na$_2$IrO$_3$ and Li$_2$IrO$_3$. The model undergoes two phase transitions as a function of temperature.

Critical properties of bipartite permutation graphs

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, 2023
AbstractThe class of bipartite permutation graphs enjoys many nice and important properties. In particular, this class is critically important in the study of clique‐ and rank‐width of graphs, because it is one of the minimal hereditary classes of graphs of unbounded clique‐ and rank‐width.
