A critical stress model for cell motility. [PDF]
Abstract A detailed theoretical model that combines the conventional viscoelastic continuum description of cell motion with a dynamic active stress is presented. The model describes the ameboid cells movement comprising of protrusion and adhesion of the front edge followed by detachment and movement of the tail.

PARP10 is critical for stress granule initiation
This study identifies PARP10 as a key regulator of stress granule assembly by ADP-ribosylating G3BP1 and modulating eIF2α phosphorylation and translation factor recruitment. Stress granules (SGs) are cytoplasmic biomolecular condensates enriched with RNA

Determination of the impact of strain rate on dynamic recrystallization of hot-deformed 2205 duplex stainless steel [PDF]
2205 duplex stainless steel suffers poor hot workability, especially whe1981hot-deformed. This investigation aims to determine the strain rate’s effect on the material’s dynamic recrystallization after heat treatment.

Method of plates stability analysis based on the moments approximations [PDF]
The paper proposes the method for calculating of thin plates stability by the finite element method based on piecewise constant approximations of the moments’ fields. Using this approach may allow us to obtain the lower limit of critical stresses.

Design of z-shaped reinforced panels of composite materials under compression and shear [PDF]
When designing thin-walled aircraft structures, as a rule, the main limitations are associated with ensuring stability. The objects of research in this work are composite z-shaped reinforced panels of the wing box of an aircraft.

The Cyclic Stability of the Superelasticity in Quenched and Aged Ni44Fe19Ga27Co10 Single Crystals
The effect of aging (at 773 K for 1 h) on the cyclic stability of superelasticity was studied in preliminarily quenched (after annealing at 1448 K for 1 h) Ni44Fe19Ga27Co10 [001]-oriented single crystals.

Thermal Emission analysis to predict damage in specimens of High Strength Concrete
In this paper thermal analysis was applied to determine the “Critical Stress” of concrete, different from its ultimate strength, able to produce the first damage in the structures under compressive loads.
