Influence of Heat Treatment Temperature on Crevice and Pitting Corrosion of UNS S32205 Duplex Stainless Steel

Heat treatments that alter the proportions of austenite and ferrite phases or induce the precipitation of phases such as sigma in duplex stainless steel UNS S32205 make it more susceptible to pitting and crevice corrosion. However, the effects of these treatments are not always evident when analyzed using the cyclic polarization technique.

The newly synthesized epoxy coatings were modified with CoN, CrN, poly[2,6-diimidazo(4,5-β-4′,5′-ε)pyridinylene-1,4-(2,5-dihydoxyphenylene] (PIPD), and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to enhance anticorrosion and mechanical capabilities.

Summary This UK‐based retrospective analysis describes real‐world treatment patterns and outcomes in 175 patients with accelerated (AP, n = 69) or blast‐phase (BP, n = 106) ‘Philadelphia‐negative’ myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN‐AP/BP) diagnosed between 2013 and 2025. Median age at transformation was 71 years.
