Svrha ovog rada je definirati sredstva organizacije tekstova u rukopisnim i tiskanim hrvatskoglagoljskim brevijarima, utjecaj uzusa organizacije teksta u glagoljičkim rukopisnim kodeksima na onu u tiskanim knjigama i obrnuto, te utjecaj aproprijacije na uzuse organizacije teksta.

Među tridesetak hrvatskoglagoljskih brevijara posebno mjesto pripada Akademijinu brevijaru (sign. HAZU IIIc 12), rukopisu koji je pisan hrvatskom ustavnom glagoljicom oko 1384. godine.
