Adenoviral delivery of the CIITA transgene induces T‐cell‐mediated killing in glioblastoma organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 3, Page 682-697, March 2025.
We developed a CIITA‐expressing adenovirus (Ad‐CIITA) that effectively transduces glioblastoma (GB) organoids, successfully inducing both CIITA and surface MHC‐II expression. In GB organoid–immune cell co‐culture systems, Ad‐CIITA induces immune‐mediated disruption of the organoids and tumor cell death, independent of MHC‐II expression.
