The optimisation of rapeseed yield and growth duration through adaptive crop management in climate change: evidence from China

open access: yesItalian Journal of Agronomy, 2022
Crop yield is influenced by plant growth and development; both are affected by climatic variables and crop management practices. Therefore, understanding the effects of climate variables and management practices on rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) yield and

Endophytic fungi of hazelnut (Corylus avellana)

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2023
Results of a vast research activity carried out worldwide in the last decades have demonstrated that endophytic fungi hold a fundamental role in improving plant fitness based on their aptitudes as growth promoters and/or defensive mutualists.

Effects of mepiquat chloride on yield and main properties of cottonseed under different plant densities

open access: yesJournal of Cotton Research, 2019
Background Cottonseed oil and protein content as well as germination traits are major indicators of seed quality. However, the responses of these indicators to plant density and mepiquat chloride (MC) are still uncertain. To investigate plant density and

A Practical Algorithm for Multiple-Phase Control Systems in Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, 2009
Many important problems in agricultural and natural resource economics concern an intertemporal choice between alternate dynamic systems. This significance has motivated a theoretical literature generalizing the necessary conditions of Optimal Control ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
