Polarimetric SAR cross-calibration method based on stable distributed targets

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science
Polarimetric calibration is essential for the pre-processing of Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolSAR) data because it effectively mitigates polarimetric distortions in the measured PolSAR data.

Extending the Global Space-Based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) to Tie Satellite Radiances to an Absolute Scale

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
The Global Space-based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) routinely monitors the calibration of various channels of Earth-observing satellite instruments and generates GSICS Corrections, which are functions that can be applied to tie them to reference ...

Comparability of Red/Near-Infrared Reflectance and NDVI Based on the Spectral Response Function between MODIS and 30 Other Satellite Sensors Using Rice Canopy Spectra

open access: yesSensors, 2013
Long-term monitoring of regional and global environment changes often depends on the combined use of multi-source sensor data. The most widely used vegetation index is the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), which is a function of the red and ...

Radiometric Cross-Calibration of the Chilean Satellite FASat-C Using RapidEye and EO-1 Hyperion Data and a Simultaneous Nadir Overpass Approach

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2016
The absolute radiometric calibration of a satellite sensor is the critical factor that ensures the usefulness of the acquired data for quantitative applications on remote sensing.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Radiometric Cross-Calibration of GF6-PMS and WFV Sensors with Sentinel 2-MSI and Landsat 9-OLI2

open access: yesRemote Sensing
A panchromatic and multispectral sensor (PMS) and a wide-field-of-view (WFV) sensor were fitted aboard the Gaofen6 (GF6) satellite, which was launched on 2 June 2018.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

A Dynamic Gaussian Modified Spectral Band Adjustment Factors Method for Radiometric Cross-Calibration of HJ-2A/HSI with ZY1-02D/AHSI

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The Huanjing Jianzai-2A (HJ-2A), launched in 2020 as China’s civilian operational environmental satellite, exhibits intrinsic non-uniformity from spectral channel distribution and inconsistency from the spectral resolution in its hyperspectral imager ...
