Iron-catalysed cross-coupling of organolithium compounds with organic halides

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Cross coupling reactions of organolithiums are challenging due to their high reactivity, though palladium catalysed versions have been reported. Here, the authors report the cross coupling of organolithiums with aryl halides with inexpensive and widely ...

Potassium 3-formyl-[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-olate monohydrate

open access: yesIUCrData, 2017
The title salt, K+·C13H9O2−·H2O, was synthesized from 5-bromosalicylaldehyde and a phenylboronic acid derivative using the Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling reaction (Miyaura & Suzuki, 1979). In addition to the intermolecular interactions between the charged

Coupling of Baryon Resonances to the $N \omega$ channel

open access: yes, 2000
We estimate the resonance coupling strength $f_{RN\omega}$ and $f_{RN\rho}$ from a Vector Meson Dominance (VMD) analysis. The isoscalar and isovector part of the photon coupling are obtained separately from helicity amplitudes.

Spinal Cord Infarction Versus Idiopathic Transverse Myelitis: Clinical, Radiological, and Functional Insights From a Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Spinal cord infarction (SCI) is a rare but devastating myelopathy, characterized by a high disability rate and an unfavorable prognosis. It has often been underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed as idiopathic transverse myelitis (ITM). This study aimed to describe the clinical features, radiological biomarkers, treatments, and functional ...

Role of the $N^*$(1535) in the $J/\psi\to \bar{p}\eta p$ and $J/\psi\to \bar{p}K^+\Lambda$ reactions

open access: yes, 2009
We study the $J/\psi\to \bar{p}\eta p$ and $J/\psi\to \bar{p}K^+\Lambda$ reactions with a unitary chiral approach. We find that the unitary chiral approach, which generates the $N^*(1535)$ dynamically, can describe the data reasonably well, particularly ...

CSF Monoamine Metabolites and Cognitive Trajectory in Early Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Imaging and postmortem studies indicate that abnormalities in monoaminergic neurotransmission contribute to cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, it remains uncertain if cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) monoamine metabolites can serve as biomarkers of cognitive decline in early PD.

Reaction scope and mechanistic insights of nickel-catalyzed migratory Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Migratory cross-coupling reactions are powerful tools to form bonds at predictable positions. Here the authors report a nickel-catalyzed migratory Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling of unactivated alkyl electrophiles with aryl and vinyl boron reagents and ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
