Gradient normalized least-squares reverse-time migration imaging technology
Least-squares reverse-time migration (LSRTM) can overcome the problems of low resolution and unbalanced amplitude energy of deep formation imaging in reverse-time migration (RTM); hence, it can obtain a more accurate imaging profile.

Generalizing Across Domains via Cross-Gradient Training
We present CROSSGRAD, a method to use multi-domain training data to learn a classifier that generalizes to new domains. CROSSGRAD does not need an adaptation phase via labeled or unlabeled data, or domain features in the new domain. Most existing domain adaptation methods attempt to erase domain signals using techniques like domain adversarial training.

AEM cross-gradient constrained inversion of gravity and magnetic data [PDF]
Nowadays magnetics, electromagnetics and gravity are among the most abundant airborne surveys. Traditionally they aim at specific depth targets. For instance, Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) data are known to provide reliable models of a few hundred meters deep; whereas, gravity and magnetic data can reveal geological features below few thousand meters ...

Microfluidic synthesis of composite cross‐gradient materials for investigating cell–biomaterial interactions [PDF]
AbstractCombinatorial material synthesis is a powerful approach for creating composite material libraries for the high‐throughput screening of cell–material interactions. Although current combinatorial screening platforms have been tremendously successful in identifying target (termed “hit”) materials from composite material libraries, new material ...

Multiple cross‐gradient joint inversion for geospectral imaging [PDF]
Accurate characterization and monitoring of complex subsurface environments require the integration of all the available geophysical, geochemical and geological information. I developed a generalized cross‐gradient procedure that seeks multiple geometrically similar images that simplify the integration of cross‐property subsurface information.

The educational gradient in young singlehood: The role of gender and the gender climate
Background: Universities are described as "waiting halls" for union formation. However, little is known about the size of the educational gradient in single living after leaving home.
