POLAC: a Computer Program to Compute Auto-, Cross-Lagged, and Pooled Within-Cell Correlations

Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Abstract : Program POLAC computes auto- and cross-lag intercorrelation. The program independently computes lagged correlation matrices for any number of treatment conditions (cells) and then computes a pooled within cell lagged intercorrelation matrix based on all cells.

The Cross-Lagged Correlation Technique: Reconsideration in Terms of Exploratory Utility, Assumption Specification and Robustness

Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1982
The cross-lagged correlation technique (CLC) for assessing causality from passive observational data has been the subject of much recent criticism. CLC compares cross correlations between variables across time points of measurement and attributes differences in correlations to causal effects.

Longitudinal correlates of learning burnout among Chinese adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic: A cross-lagged panel network analysis

Journal of Affective Disorders
Learning burnout as a serious psychological distress problem among adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic was investigated using the cross-lagged panel network models.A three-wave study using a sample of 11 to 18-year-olds in China was conducted, with baseline data collected in June 2020 (n = 4156) and follow-ups in December 2020 (n = 3209) and ...

Using Cross-Lagged Correlation Analysis to Derive Causal Inferences in Quasi-Experimental Marketing Research

2014
While choosing from cross-sectional, longitudinal, and experimental designs, the marketing researcher faces a problem of trade-off between causal interpretability and the commitment required from subjects. It is argued here that a carefully designed cross-lagged correlation methodology may provide the best alternative in most situations.

Correlations among negative life events, sense of security, and internet addiction with Chinese university freshmen: A random intercept cross‐lagged analysis model

Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being
Abstract Few studies have investigated the longitudinal correlations among negative life events, a sense of security, and internet addiction (IA). The aim of the present study was to test these correlations in Chinese university freshmen.
