Side channel and fault injection attacks are a major threat to cryptographic applications of embedded systems. Best performances for these attacks are achieved by focusing sensors or injectors on the sensible parts of the application, by means of dedicated methods to localise them.

A neuromorphic cross-correlation chip
2011 IEEE International Symposium of Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2011The cross-correlation and auto-correlation operations are important in many signal processing tasks. Often these operations are resource intensive or limited by noise in low-power systems. In this paper we present the design and measured results of an analogue integrated circuit (IC) that performs cross-correlations using a neuromorphic algorithm.

A new generalized cross correlator
IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1985A new generalized cross correlator (GCC) for the passive time delay estimation problem is presented. The interpretation of this GCC is that of estimating the cross-correlation function by cross correlating the least mean-square estimates of the signal component in each of the observed waveforms.

Consensus-based cross-correlation
Proceedings of the 19th ACM international conference on Multimedia, 2011Cross-correlation is a classical similarity measure with broad applications in multimedia signal processing. While it is robust against uncorrelated noise in the input signals, it is severely affected by systematic disturbances which lead to biased results. To overcome this limitation, we propose in this paper consensus-based cross-correlation (ConCor)

Fluorescence Correlation and Cross-Correlation Spectroscopy in Zebrafish
2018There has been increasing interest in biophysical studies on live organisms to gain better insights into physiologically relevant biological events at the molecular level. Zebrafish (Danio rerio) is a viable vertebrate model to study such events due to its genetic and evolutionary similarities to humans, amenability to less invasive fluorescence ...
