Charge radii of atomic nuclei and shell effects

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки, 2022
Background. The root-mean-square charge radii are the important characteristics of atomic nuclei which might be measured experimentally. In this research, we study the experimental data on the root-mean-square charge radii of the spherical nuclei ...

Paclitaxel induces NM2‐dependent cellular contraction through GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and RhoA/ROCK activation in cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Extracellular matrix remodeling and immune reprogramming drive residual tumor progression of liver cancer after incomplete microwave ablation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...

Unique circulating miRNAome signatures captured with distinct molecular states in Lynch syndrome and sporadic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

Frank Cockett and the story of the ancient anatomical wax model of the left iliac vein compression

open access: yesVeins and Lymphatics
In 1988, Professor Donini organized an international phlebo-lymphology meeting at the University of Ferrara in Italy. At that time, I was a young surgical resident with the task of picking up Professor Frank Cockett at the railway station.

KDAC6 alters cell morphology and motility through positive and negative modulation of F‐actin distribution

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KDAC6 has been associated with cell motility and actin structures, but specific domain contributions are not established. The two catalytic domains have differential effects on motility and F‐actin regulation, affecting cortical F‐actin density, motility, stress fibers, and cell spreading.

The relationship between mount Merapi disaster and stress incidents in Kepuharjo Village, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency, DIY [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Indonesia has a high risk of natural disaster. Indonesia is a disaster-prone area because it is crossed by the ring of fire. The two psychological impacts experienced by victims of Mount Merapi are emotional impacts and cognitive impacts.
