Gamma-Ray Modified Polymer/Clay Composites: Synthesis, Characterization, and Formulation Optimization Using Multivariate Calculus and Graph Theory

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
To enhance the oxidation strength and crosslinking yield of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), its composites were prepared by mixing 1%, 2%, and 3% (by wt.) of magnesium silicate hydrous (sepiolite) during this study.

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

Elastocaloric Waste/Natural Rubber Materials with Various Crosslink Densities

open access: yesPolymers, 2023
The characterization of the mechanical behavior of elastocaloric materials is essential to identify their viability in heating/cooling devices. Natural rubber (NR) is a promising elastocaloric (eC) polymer as it requires low external stress to induce a wide temperature span, ΔT.

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Influence of 1,4-butanediol on hydroxyl-terminated poly(butadiene) based composite propellant binder characteristics [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Technical Review, 2015
1.4-butanediol, as a chain extender, was incorporated into a hydroxyl-terminated poly(butadiene) based composite rocket propellant binder composition. As curing agents, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and toluene diisocyanate (TDI) were used.

Pengaruh rasio MBTS/ZDEC pada campuran karet alam dan etilen propilen diena yang dibuat dengan teknik kontrol migrasi curatives

open access: yesMajalah Kulit, Karet, dan Plastik, 2014
The objective of this research was to observe the effect of MBTS/ZDEC ratio on dynamic properties, curing characteristic, morphology as well as hardness and resiliency of the NR/EPDM blends prepared by curatives migration control technique. The MBTS/ZDEC

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

Dual native G‐quadruplex folding is associated with chromatin looping at the MYC locus

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
BG4‐detectable G‐quadruplex (G4) in HaCaT and NHEK keratinocytes identified folded and unfolded G4s enriched at promoters/TSSs and active enhancers, whereas unfolded G4s also overlapped weak/poised enhancers. At MYC–PVT1, 3C‐qPCR detected enhancer–promoter looping only when G4s were simultaneously folded at both regulatory elements under native ...
