Documenting Potential Sunn Hemp (Crotalaria junceaL.) (Fabaceae) Pollinators in Florida [PDF]
Sunn hemp, Crotalaria juncea L., is a warm-season legume that can be planted in rotation to cash crops to add nitrogen and organic matter to the soils, for weed growth prevention, and to suppress nematode populations. Sunn hemp flowers also provide nectar and pollen for pollinators and enhance biological control by furnishing habitat for natural ...

ABSTRACT Dual‐purpose corn cropping is a widespread and economically important agricultural activity in Brazilian rural areas. The objective of this work was to study the structural quality of a dystrophic Red‐Yellow Ultisol under different tillage systems, previous crops and inoculant treatments, and its relationship with corn yield.

Effect of seeding rate of Crotalaria (Crotalaria juncea L.) on Green Manure Yield and Nitrogen Prodution in Upland Soil [PDF]
We researched nitrogen and green manure yield of crotalaria by seeding rate; 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 kg ha -1 in upland soil to find out crotalaria"s optimal seeding rate. Crotalaria"s plant height and number of leaves increased when the harvest time was later regardless of its seeding rate.

Initial insights into sunn hemp–corn intercropping for forage production and nitrogen reduction
Abstract Corn (Zea mays) is a globally important crop to produce grain and silage for livestock systems. However, corn generally requires high levels of nitrogen (N) fertilizer. Introducing sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea L.; SH), an annual legume, is a potential option for reducing N inputs.

Regenerative practices increase crop yield stability in the Upper US Midwest
Abstract Combining regenerative agriculture (RA) practices, such as cover cropping and no‐till, is increasingly promoted as a strategy to enhance soil health and climate resilience. However, their long‐term impacts on crop yield and yield stability remain uncertain.

Abstract Soil structure and soil organic carbon are key variables for the sustainability of agricultural production in tropical environments, yet their interactions with crop yield remain difficult to quantify. The objective of this study was to propose and evaluate the agricultural productivity and soil and water conservation index (APSWCI) as a tool ...
