We wish to extract the topology from scanned maps. In previous work [15] this was done by extracting a skeleton from the Voronoi diagram, but this required vertex labelling and was only useable for polygon maps. We wished to take the crust algorithm of Amenta, Bern and Eppstein [3] and modify it to extract the skeleton from unlabelled vertices. We find

We calculate properties of neutron star matter at subnuclear densities using an improved nuclear Hamiltonian. Nuclei disappear and the matter becomes uniform at a density of about 0.6n(s), where n(s) of about 0.16/cu fm is the saturation density of nuclear matter. As a consequence, the mass of matter in the crusts of neutron stars is only about half as

Five cases of an atypical form of crusted (or Norwegian) scabies are described. Three cases occurred in patients who suffered from a malignant tumor, and two additional cases occurred in mentally retarded and physically debilitated patients. These cases should draw attention to the possibility of a scabietic infestation whenever a widespread, scaly ...

Infectious Crusting Dermatoses
Veterinary Clinics of North America: Equine Practice, 1995Although there are numerous dermatoses in the horse in which the formation of crusts occurs, there are two relatively common and important infectious crusting dermatoses, namely, dermatophytosis and dermatophilosis. This article reviews the current concepts regarding the etiology and pathogenesis of each disease, as well as the more common clinical ...

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology
An 80-year-old man with persistent hyperkeratotic foot lesions was diagnosed with localized crusted scabies after misdiagnosis as a fungal infection or psoriasis. Dermoscopy and microscopy confirmed Sarcoptes scabiei infestation. Treatment with oral ivermectin and topical applications of lindane lotion and salicylic acid ointment was successful.
