Combining Activation‐Induced Markers With PD‐L1 Selectively Enhances Detection of Antigen‐Specific T Cells in Virus‐Infected Individuals

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Detection and characterization of antigen‐specific T cells are important for studying immune responses upon infection, vaccination, or autoreactivity. The activation‐induced marker (AIM) assay is a robust technique to identify and characterize antigen‐specific CD4 and CD8 T cells. However, there is variability in the AIM assay, particularly in the type

Bayesian Regularized Neural Network for Prediction of the Dose in Gamma Irradiated Milk Products

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies, 2020
Gamma irradiation is a well-known method for sterilizing different foodstuffs, including fresh cow milk. Many studies witness that the low dose irradiation of milk and milk products affects the fractions of the milk protein, thus reducing its allergenic ...

First Frozen Repository for Coral Sperm in the Southwestern Atlantic: A Tool to Support Reef Conservation

open access: yesAquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems, Volume 35, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Coral reefs are among the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, yet they are rapidly declining due to climate change and other anthropogenic stressors. Population reductions threaten sexual reproduction in sessile coral species, as increased distances between colonies hinder gamete encounters.

Advanced Electrochemical Genosensor for Zika Virus Detection in Biological Samples Based on Cysteamine‐Graphene Quantum Dots Bilayer

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 37, Issue 12, December 2025.
An electrochemical biosensor for Zika virus (ZIKV) detection is described. A DNA probe was immobilized on a gold electrode. After hybridization with the target (ZIKV), safranin was used as an intercalating indicator. Detection was performed by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), where the current signal increases with the target concentration.

Influence of Glaciological Structures on the Spatial Distribution of Cryoconite Holes, Northern Victoria Land, East Antarctica

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface, Volume 130, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Three blue‐ice areas in the upper reaches of Rennick Glacier, East Antarctica, are investigated using satellite remote sensing to assess the influence of meso‐ to large‐scale glaciological structures on cryoconite hole distributions. In total, 15,299 cryoconite holes and 1 600 structures were geospatially analyzed, which indicate that ...

Effect of Oftocord gel vs Actovegin on regenerative processes following mechanical trauma to the rabbit cornea

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, 2017
Background: Mechanical damage to the cornea is followed by reduced collagen synthesis and imbalance in collagen ratio in the defect area, and by initiation of apoptosis in connective tissue cells, which may result in the transformation of granulation ...

Characterization of the Lipid Profile of Immature and In Vitro Matured Cat Oocytes

open access: yesMolecular Reproduction and Development, Volume 92, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Forskolin (FSK), l‐carnitine (LC), and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) are lipid modulators that reduce cellular lipid content. This study characterizes the lipid profile and mRNA content of immature and in vitro matured cat oocytes with or without a MIX of these modulators. Ovaries were collected, COC retrieved, and allocated into three groups:

Small and Large Extracellular Vesicles From Human Preovulatory Follicular Fluid Display Distinct ncRNA Cargo Profiles and Differential Effects on KGN Granulosa Cells

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2025.
Small and large EVs isolated from human follicular fluid using SEC and TFF exhibited differences in size, abundance, tetraspanin colocalisation and short non‐coding RNA cargo. These EV subpopulations had divergent effects on the KGN granulosa cell line: small EVs significantly altered the expression of genes linked to the extracellular matrix (ECM ...
