European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.New bis(amide) aminophenolate ligands form dioxomolybdenum(vi) and dioxotungsten(vi) complexes showing solvent‐dependent nuclearity. Whilst monomeric complexes featuring methoxide ligands are obtained in methanol, water triggers formation of μ‐oxo‐bridged dimers via oxo exchange, verified by 18O labelling.
