KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Crystal structure of catena-poly[[cadmium(II)-di-μ2-bromido-μ2-l-proline-κ2O:O′] monohydrate]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2015
In the title coordination polymer, {[CdBr2(C5H9NO2)]·H2O}n, the CdII ion is coordinated by four bromido ligands and two carboxylate oxygen atoms of two symmetry-related proline ligands, which exist in a zwitterionic form, in a distorted octahedral ...

Numerical modeling of SiC single crystal growth-sublimation and hot-wall epitaxy

open access: yes, 2009
On the engineering point of view, it is important to develop a design technology of the furnace for SiC single crystal growth. In this point of view, the recent progress of modeling on both sublimation bulk growth and hot-wall epitaxy were presented. For

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Fabrication and Optical Properties of 2at.%Yb:LuYAG Mixed Crystal through Nanocrystalline Powders

open access: yesCrystals, 2018
Ytterbium doped Lu1.5Y1.5Al5O12 (LuYAG) nanocrystalline powders were synthesized by a wet chemical mixed precipitant co-precipitation (MPP) method, and then the mixed crystal of Yb:LuYAG was grown in an optical floating zone (OFZ) furnace at the speed of

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Rapid prediction of interface morphology and oxygen transportation in crystal growth based on the response surface method

open access: yes
In this paper, a two-dimensional (2D) axisymmetric model subjected to the gas shear effect and thermal Marangoni effect is developed. It is highlighted that the growth conditions of pulling rate, gas flow rate, crucible, and crystal rotation rates play ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
