The most recent and largest caldera-forming eruption occurred at ~ 90 ka at Aso Volcano, SW Japan, and is known as the “Aso-4 eruption.” We performed chemical analyses of amphibole phenocrysts from Aso-4 pyroclasts collected from the initial and largest ...

Effects of water and fluorine on the viscosity of albite melt at high pressure: a preliminary investigation [PDF]
The viscosities of fluorine- and water-bearing melts based on albite composition have been determined at 7.5, 15 and 22.5 kbar by the falling-sphere method. All melt viscosities decrease isothermally with increasing pressure.

As‐spun carbon materials produced from Lignosulfonate, gelatin, and alginate, selected for water solubility, and ability to produce templated sustainable carbon nanostructures. Gelatin and alginate are sacrificial during thermal processing, allowing the production of engineered high surface area nanostructures, which are further characterized for ...

Mature red blood cells (RBCs) can capture extracellular DNA, with short fragments homologous to cfDNA. This uptake is mediated by apoptotic bodies, which induce RBC oxidative stress, deformation, and accelerated in vivo clearance. The rbcDNA abundance correlates with tumor burden and therapeutic response, highlighting its potential as a liquid biopsy ...

Magmatic to solid-state evolution of a shallow emplaced agpaitic tinguaite (the Suc de Sara dyke, Velay volcanic province, France): implications for peralkaline melt segregation and extraction in ascending magmas [PDF]
In the last decades the mush model has been generalized to the complete trans-crustal magmatic system in which differentiation would be driven by segregation and extraction of trapped melts from crystal-rich mushes. Melt extraction processes involved are

On buoyant convection in binary solidification [PDF]
We consider the problem of nonlinear steady buoyant convection in horizontal mushy layers during the solidification of binary alloys. We investigate both cases of zero vertical volume flux and constant pressure, referred to as impermeable and permeable ...

Navigating the Ethereal Tightrope: The Nanogenerator Manipulates Neurons for Immune Equilibrium
This review explores how nanogenerators modulate neuroimmune responses, offering innovative strategies for treating neurological disorders. By interfacing with neural pathways, they enable precise control of immune activity, especially via vagus nerve stimulation.
