Too Old to Bother: CEO Age and Corporate Stakeholder Engagement

ABSTRACT We examine how CEO age, a key demographic attribute, affects corporate stakeholder engagement. Drawing on Upper Echelons Theory, we argue that older CEOs are less responsive to stakeholder concerns because of heightened conservatism, shorter time horizons, and greater risk aversion.

Enhanced deoxyviolacein bioproduction via enzyme condensation with a yeast glycolytic enzyme‐derived peptide tag

Fusion of a 27‐amino‐acid peptide tag derived from a glycolytic enzyme enabled artificial assembly formation of the two violacein biosynthetic enzymes, VioE and VioC. This assembly resulted in enhanced biosynthesis of deoxyviolacein. Abstract In microbial production, regulating endogenous and exogenous synthetic pathways is essential.
