Structure of crystalline interfaces
Metallography, 1974Abstract The structure of crystalline interfaces, as observed by transmission electron microscopy, is reviewed with emphasis on the similarity of grain and interphase boundaries of the dislocation type. Small-angle grain boundaries and low misfit interphase boundaries between similar crystal structures largely condense their mismatch into arrays of ...

Macromolecular structure and liquid crystallinity
Faraday Discussions of the Chemical Society, 1985The relationship between low-molar-mass or monomeric liquid crystals and polymeric liquid crystals is explored by examining the historical development of experimental and theoretical aspects of the latter materials. Polymeric liquid crystals are initially contrasted with conventional, non-mesogenic, flexible polymer chains (random coils), and then ...

Crystalline/crystalline polymer blends: Some structure–property relationships
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1979AbstractMechanical properties, morphology, and compatibility of polybutene‐1 blended with polypropylene, both crystallizable polymers, are described in the present study. Blends of various compositions were studied using tensile tests, differential scanning calorimetry, wide‐angle x‐ray diffractometry, and optical microscopy.

Crystalline structure of Cu4SSe
Crystallography Reports, 2016Ternary compound Cu4SSe has been first synthesized by alloying the Cu, S, and Se elements taken in stoichiometric ratios. An X-ray diffraction study of polycrystalline samples has revealed the synthesized material to be crystallized into the trigonal system with unit-cell parameters а = 4.021(1) A, с = 6.838(1) A, and V = 95.75(4) A3; sp. gr.

Crystalline Plasticity and Structured Deformations
2004The connection between the geometrical changes at small length scales in single crystals and their macroscopic response has been the subject of extensive experimental studies. In (Deseri and Owen (2000)), experimental evidence that points to a connection between hardening behavior of single crystals undergoing single slip and changes in the separation ...

Structure of Crystalline Polymers
Physics Bulletin, 1980Hiroyuki Tadokoro 1979 Chichester: John Wiley xviii + 465 pp price £21.35 By deliberately limiting the scope of his book Professor Tadokoro has produced a very thorough text which gives the basic theory and experimental methods of wide angle x-ray diffraction, infrared and Raman spectroscopy, and mathematical modelling by energy calculations for ...
