NHC‐Terphenyl Radicals and Anions: Tuning Stability and Redox Properties via Substituent Patterning
Two series of C2‐terphenylated derivatives of three N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have been reported. The para‐terphenylated species exhibit three stable (reversible) redox states (e.g., [2b]+, [2b]● and [2b]−), while for the meta‐terphenylated derivatives only cationic and neutral states (i.e., [3b]+ and [3b]●) are reversible.

Quantitative Analysis of Fluorescent Sensor Arrays
Fluorescent sensor arrays have great potential for the quantification of analytes in complex systems. Herein, statistical multivariate techniques and deep learning models to provide quantitative information from such arrays are reviewed. Fluorescent sensor arrays address the limitations of a single sensor by leveraging multiple sensing elements to ...

Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering of a Lysosomal Fluorescent Dye
In this article, the interactions of a lysosomal fluorescent dye with gold nanoparticles are analyzed based on surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Their dependence on changes in pH is related to their SERS spectra and to the SERS spectra of the aromatic fragments of the dye.
